About Us
Established in 1999, HotLizard is a trusted specialist in crafting cost-effective recruitment websites, career portals, and job board software solutions.
In 2009, HotLizard was acquired by Aspire Media Group, owned and operated by Robbie Cowling. Robbie was an IT contractor who founded Fax-Me-Limited in 1993, which became JobServe in 1995, the UK’s first IT Job board.
Robbie’s involvement with football has included JobServe being the shirt sponsor for West Ham United between 2003-04 and 2006-07. In 2006 Robbie purchased Colchester United Football Club and in 2018 the Colchester Community Stadium became the JobServe Community Stadium.
A driving force behind Robbie combining his interest in technology and football has led to the development of HotLizard Sports Technology, where the focus is creating technology that delivers return on investment. Having run a football club, Robbie understands the need to drive revenue across the different channels and how important utilising cross and upsell opportunities is within the club's activities.
HotLizard Sports Technology has been developed to capitalise on the wealth of technological and commercial experience that Robbie and the team have, with a real understanding at all levels within the club's operating business, which is required to be commercially successful.
